This summit is dedicated to the intentional crafting of songs that resonate deeply with local congregations, reflecting the unique spirit, challenges, and aspirations of each community.
In a world where worship music is often performance based, we believe in the power of parish-oriented music. At the Songwriting Summit, you'll be equipped, inspired, and connected with peers who share the same passion: to create theologically rich music that truly speaks to the heart of your congregation.
Cultivating Creative Communities for worship leaders, pastors, band members, and all those involved in the work of sacred music.
This summit is an initiative of A Plain Account, a trusted Wesleyan lectionary resource, in collaboration with our 2025 partner, Trevecca Community Church. Together, we are dedicated to nurturing spiritual growth and creative expression within communities.
We are deeply grateful to our partners:

"Grace Upon Grace"
This year's emphasis comes from John 1:16-17, "From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John Wesley emphasized that this grace is free for all and free in all.
For the Wesleyan Songwriting Summit 2025, we want to write songs rooted in this Gospel truth. What does it mean for us and for our congregations that God's grace is truly free? What impact does it have on our communities that grace and truth come from Jesus Christ? These questions, and others, will be the foundation for our songwriting.
